Georgia Football

Michael pulled for the Kentucky Wildcats yesterday so that UGA could go to the SEC championship, but after four overtimes the Wildcats lost to TN. On a good note, Georgia beat Georgia Tech! This is a very important game to the Lyons family because I graduated from UGA and my brother graduated from GA Tech. Pictured below is our favorite Christmas ornament.

Thanksgiving

We have so much to be thankful for this year!! Little Michael has brought us so much joy! Here are a few pictures from his first Thanksgiving.

His Papa and Grandma Sue came to visit. They really loved getting to see their grandson.

We thought it would be a good idea to take a family picture during their visit because we had someone to take the picture instead of using the timer on our camera. Needless to say it was harder than I thought to get a good picture of the three of us plus Samson. Pictured below is a shot that I thought was humorous. Samson is trying to sniff Michael, and my face says "hurry up and take this picture!"

Baby Dedication

With Thanksgiving approaching this week, we thought it would be the perfect time to have a baby dedication at church.

Michael slept through the whole service. So far every Sunday his daddy's preaching has put him to sleep!

Silly Samson

Do you think Samson is a little jealous? He decided to take a snooze in Michael's boppy after Michael was put in his crib for a nap.

Georgia vs. Auburn

GOOOOO Dawgs!!!! UGA came out in black jerseys for the first time ever today and beat Auburn 45-20! Here's a picture of Michael supporting the bulldogs.

Weekend Visit

We enjoyed a visit this weekend from Ryan's father, Mike, and his Granny Lyons. We took them on a tour of the seminary campus and to a few places in Louisville. We also took a little trip out to Leavenworth, IN to the Overlook Restaurant. It gets its name from the beautiful view of the Ohio river. We enjoyed a yummy dinner there.

Michael Ryan

I'm sure the majority of posts that appear on this blog will have to do with our little boy, Michael. He was born on September 24, 2007 at 6:43 pm weighing in at 6lbs, 3 oz. We both love being parents and are so blessed!

And last but not least, Michael dressed up in a pumpkin suit given to him by his favorite babysitter, Jaimie. Of course Momma had to dress him up while Daddy was away because it didn't really meet the manly criteria Daddy approves of. Pictured with him is his ferocious guard dog, Samson.

I can't believe I have finally started a blog! I have been reading many of my friend's blogs for some time now and finally gave into the peer pressure (and I want to show off my little Michael). Hopefully I will actually update this thing on a regular basis.
