"Michael Monkey"

We had a "Trunk and Treat" at our church tonight and Michael dressed up like a monkey. We had a great time and there was a big turn out from the community!
A couple of pictures with mom and dad before heading out.
Ryan was greeting everyone as they came in and registered, so Monkey and I strolled around and got a little bit of candy. A couple of the cars had Goldfish, which he loved. One of our church members brought their Bulldog. Eventhough his name was Bruiser and not Uga, I still had to snap a picture.
The Coulters dressed up as Sarah Palin and Joe the Plumber. Hopefully Mrs. Palin will be smiling on Tuesday!
Michael chatting with his ladybug friend, Alexis.
There was a tractor at one of the cars. We tried to get a picture, but Michael was not very interested. His favorite part of the night: playing with the "see n say" in the nursery while we waited on daddy to finish up.
We had a great time at our first "trunk and treat." Next year will be much more interesting because Kaitlyn will be out of the womb; we will definitely need a double stroller!

Various pics

Michael started sitting in his big boy carseat last week. Here is a picture of him on his first ride forward-facing.
This picture is of Michael in his PJ's. I tried out the seat in the house before installing it in the car. He even watched TV that morning strapped in his seat!

More UGA threads!

Here's a picture of the twins. Maybe Kaitlyn will look something like her Momma!
Michael still loves playing in pillows when I make up the bed.

He has started to love holding his books. This table was mine when I was a little girl. Michael seems to like it too. He won't be having any tea parties though!

This is his new goofy wave. He also does this when he is trying to say something. I guess he talks with his hands like his daddy!

Hayride!

Saturday night we went on our first Bloomfield hayride (At a Sunday School fellowship). It was different than any hayride we went on in Georgia!! We went on main highways and rode at pretty fast speeds to be behind a tractor! We had fun though!

Michael loves his daddy and enjoys being on his shoulders.

Michael was a little apprehensive at first when the tractor started up, but once we got going, he had a great time. He did hold onto his daddy tightly though!

Here are a couple of other recent pics I thought were cute. The first is of Michael after he woke up from a rough nap. I love his hair!

This last one is of him in some new UGA gear before a rainy trip to Wal-Mart, which was slightly eventful because my cheap umbrella broke on the way in. Good thing Michael had a hood!

Last week in the Lyons' house

We did a lot of fun things last week. Last Sunday after church, we had a church picnic. There was a train there and Michael got to have his first train ride.
He had a good time with his daddy!
Monday was another big milestone for Michael...his first haircut! I took him to Cookie Cutters for his first trim, which was a nice place, but it did not go over so well. He was having a great time until the spray bottle and scissors came out!
They had a slide and he got to sit in a firetruck, but there was only one stylist there the day we went and she was not very kid friendly. I was very thankful when it was over!

Because of the tears and red-faced little boy, I took an after shot when we got back home.

He did get a certificate after his big first haircut with a picture and a lock of his hair (For some reason when I uploaded the picture blogger rotated it). I can already tell that his hair is growing fast, which means we will have to do this again sooner than I would like to!

My mom came up to visit on Monday and stayed for the week so that I could get some studying done. She brought Michael more birthday presents from family.

He loves his new Mega Blocks Fire truck! He was very upset when he had to go to bed that night because he couldn't play with his blocks anymore.

Below is a picture of a hat from his Grandma J and Aunt Hannah. The picture is taken from his back-side because by the time I got to the other side of him, it was already on the floor! We're working on getting him to keep hats on his head.

Here's another fun item he got for his birthday from Nanny Moore. He enjoys riding; I hope he will start walking behind it soon too.
