More Birthday boy pictures!

This morning we took our "little monkey" to the Louisville Zoo for his birthday. We had a great time! We got season passes, so we will be returning soon.
With our season passes, we get a discount on food, so Ryan had to have his Starbucks coffee!
This orangutang was hilarious! He would kiss the glass when Ryan put his hand up to it. Another one was in a bad mood and just went away when we came near. I think the orangutangs were our favorite.

We couldn't resist a picture of "the Lyons(lions) family"
Elephants
Flamingoes
After the zoo and lunch, we came home and Michael enjoyed his Monkey cupcakes.

We had to help with blowing out the candle of course.
The fun has begun!!
He was pretty messy; he went straight to the tub afterwards!
Michael enjoyed dropping almost an entire cupcake on the ground for Samson to enjoy. He of course got some before we could clean it up.
The end result!
I would say Michael had a great birthday week (besides the four shots he received on Friday at his one year check up)!

Birthday presents and Chucke Cheese's

Here are some pictures of our little boy opening presents on his birthday. He loved the train and car from his Lyons grandparents!

You can see some RED UGA pants in the picture below. Thanks Papa and grandma Slade!

On Thursday we met the Pellowes and the Hahns at Chucky Cheese. Michael had a great time and LOVED pizza!!

Avery liked pizza too!

Michael driving...scary thought!

Since our little man is now a toddler, he sleeps in big boy pajamas.

We took a birthday trip to the zoo today and then let him eat cake afterwards. I'll try to post pics tonight. We have a Sunday school party to go to now, but don't worry, we will be watching the UGA game tonight!

Happy Birthday Little Man!

Our sweet little boy turned one year old today! Be looking for birthday pictures coming soon. We went to Toys R Us and to a friend's house for lunch today. Michael was able to open some presents after church tonight; which he loved! We plan on taking him to the zoo on Saturday and letting him enjoy cake afterwards. Hopefully we will have some visits from family soon too.

We're having a...

GIRL!!! Ryan, Michael and I went to see the newest addition to our family today and found out we are having a little girl! Just for the record, Ryan's guess was a boy and mine was a girl this time. We are thankful to the Lord for her health thus far! I did not think that I wanted to find out if we were having a boy or girl this time around, but Ryan would NOT go for that. Now that we know, I'm glad that we did! We can now call our baby by her name, Kaitlyn Nichole. Michael is going to have to learn to be gentle with his baby sister! Here are a couple of pictures.
Her face is in the center.
Her right arm is covering her eyes in this one. Her hand is on her forehead.

Helping with Laundry

This past Saturday, Michael decided to help me with the laundry. He climbed into the basket, reached in the dryer, and pulled out a pair of his pants. He can now get into everything!!

Here's a recent picture of our little man who is beginning to get a round face. I think it is due to eating Momma's cooking instead of Gerber!

Indy girl's trip

This past weekend Suzanne and I went to visit our friend Jaimie Z. for the weekend in Indianapolis, IN. She recently moved there after her husband graduated from Southern Seminary. We had a great time and she was a wonderful host!

Sweet Jaimie already had our bath items covered when we arrived. She promised our towels would be folded into swans, but we were still pleased with what we got!

For breakfast, James made delicious cheese blintzes, eggs and fruit.

After breakfast, we went to Babies R' Us to work on Suzanne's baby registry, then to the canal downtown. It was beautiful! We ate at a cute cafe then finished up the afternoon at the mall.

Before leaving, we enjoyed a girls' night fondue party, which was also delicious. We had a great time! We miss you being in Louisville James!

Recent pictures of our little man

Here are some pictures from this past Friday night of Michael playing in some bouncy, blow-up games we had at our church. He was a little scared and apprehensive at first. He was clinging to his daddy! But he eventually warmed up and had a good time.

Here's our sweet sleepy boy! He now loves his Winnie the Pooh Bear!

Samson's kennel door now has to be closed due to us finding Michael inside of it!
Below are just a couple of pictures I thought were cute.

Videos

Here are a couple of recent videos of Michael. The first is of him and Samson playing with Sam's rope and the second is of Michael helping me make up the bed. Enjoy!
