St. Simon's Island

After Michael's birthday party, Ryan came back to KY and I, the kids and the MeMas went to St. Simons Island for a mini vacation. It was actually a relaxing time and a lot of fun! Here are some pictures of the trip in no particular order...
Michael using a HUGE spoon at the Gnat's Landing. He loved their cheese grits...and momma did too :)
This was the Lyons' first trip to St. Simons, so the beach was very different to us since we are used to the Gulf (Destin). Michael loved it! The tide came in at night and made little spots of water that Michael could play in each day. He loved climbing this ridge.
His shovel and bucket
Kaitlyn was not so sure about the sand
Kaitlyn and MeMa Jen
Michael enjoyed playing at this playground near the pier.
The condo had kid-sized chairs and both kids liked sitting in them
Michael's cars...he takes them everywhere!
Another picture at the park...we went every night for Michael to play
Kaitlyn had so much fun seeing herself in the mirrors on the closet doors :)
Michael getting dirty in the wet sand!
Smiling sissy
This screened in porch at the condo was a life saver! I think Michael would live outside if he could, and the porch made him feel like he was playing outside

Kaitlyn and MeMa Sue at the park.

Thanks Uncle Lance and Aunt Toni for letting us stay in the condo! We can't wait to go again next year!

OMGosh! I was perusing Southern Savers and found your post. Your name is what caught my eye. I went to school with someone with the name of Lyons so I decided to look at your pictures. As I was looking at you, I could see Mike! Then I saw Jennifer in your pictures and she looks just like what I remembered. What are the chances. They probably wouldn't even remember me I was kind of a wall flower. But I think "what a small world". I left Warner Robins in my junior yr for Arizona and have only recently moved back to the south after living in Phoenix for 25yrs. So strange how life works. Hope all is well with everyone. Plz say hello to your folks for me.
